Tuesdays with Tenneson; Get Ready, Get Set…
Things have suddenly gotten very busy at the barn. The HETRA staff and volunteers are busy cleaning, organizing, and preparing the barn for something very important. One of my favorite volunteers even dusted my sign, especially for me. The staff told me that we are having a big event called “Blue Jeans and Dreams.” In just eleven days, guests from all walks of life will be coming to see what we do and hopefully support our wonderful program.
They said there will be fantastic auctions (whatever that is) and lots of delicious food. Just hearing about it made it me hungry… Speaking of food, did you know we HETRA horses each eats about 10 bales of hay per month? That a lot of hay. As a matter of fact, it takes 2,520 bales per year to feed all of the HETRA horses. HETRA has to pay $12,600 to buy all of that delicious hay for my herd! So, you can see why we could use some help raising some funds at HETRA.
I’m looking forward to see how much help HETRA can gain at our event. However, I’m most excited because the staff says I will be able to say hello to our guests. The night features a meet and greet with the HETRA herd (most importantly myself!). Please stop by and say hello. I’d love to see you there!
