Tuesday with Tenneson; Book Learning

Published on September 26, 2017 under Uncategorized

Hi everyone,

We had two wonderful events last weekend!

On Friday HETRA hosted their very first equine facilitated learning workshop specifically for military veterans. The veterans group participated in grooming, leading, and round penning. The best part was that I got to work with the veterans personally! I helped them experience round penning. I’m pretty good at it, if I do say so myself, and I think the veterans really liked working with me. I can’t wait to do another equine facilitated learning workshop in the future!

On Saturday, Dr. Amy Cook, DVM from In Touch Equine Veterinary Services presented on equine first aid and emergency illness, and Ian Bevington, farrier from 3B Enterprises LLC. presented on equine hoof care and maintenance.

Attendees ranged from seasoned staff members to beginning horse owners, and all walked away with new information. Thank you so much Dr. Cook and Ian!

I was so happy; I could hear all the presentations from my stall.
