Tuesday with Tenneson; Happy Together

Published on November 29, 2017 under Uncategorized

I hope everyone had a fantastic thanksgiving break! Although the holidays are upon us, life has been exciting as usual at the HETRA barn. We have had several changes in my herd. One friend went to find his dream job and another came to discover whether or not she might enjoy life as therapy horse.

Our “sweet Hershey” was loved by all, but after trying therapeutic riding, he opted for a quieter life. Happily, HETRA had the perfect solution! Our very own volunteer coordinator, Sara Peacock, took him home to live with her. He is working as her riding pony. He is doing great and loves his new life. I’m so glad my friend found what he was looking for.

Lilly is my new friend who has recently joined the HETRA herd. She is a 15 year old Arabian. Lilly is bay in color and stands 14.2 hands high. She is currently in training with the HETRA staff. Most interestingly, Lilly is a full sibling to our rock star therapy horse, Dude. These siblings were really happy to see one another again at HETRA! Do you think they look alike? Please stop by and say hello to our new herd member on your next trip to the barn.
