Tuesdays with Tenneson; Drive to Ride
I see lots of people every day at the HETRA barn. Lately, I’ve been seeing the office staff working in the barn A LOT. They told me there’s a very special fundraiser that they’re working on. They’ve been busy hanging posters and talking to our participant’s families in preparation (they often come to say hello to me too!). They call the fundraiser “Drive to Ride.” Did you know that each weekly therapeutic riding lesson costs HETRA $160? Yet, each family is only charged $35. That means HETRA has to make up for $125 per therapeutic riding lesson. Whoa! That’s a lot of hay. That’s where the Drive to Ride Campaign comes in. Our families are helping HETRA to raise money, so that we are able to serve all of our wonderful riders at an affordable fee. Each rider-family has a personal fundraising goal, and they hope to raise a collective $80,000 by the end of the campaign. Drive to Ride starts on September first! Will you help our riders? (AFTER you come say hello to me, of course). Here is the link to view our rider’s stories and help!
