Tuesdays with Tenneson; Horse College
Hi all!! It’s been a few weeks since I have chatted with you, and there have been some big changes at the HETRA barn! Last week, I made a short trip to a new barn for “Horse College” with one of the riding instructors from HETRA. I will be going on trail rides, doing a lot of work under saddle, and overall just learning everything a horse needs to learn. I’ll be coming back to the HETRA barn to continue my training as a therapy horse soon, but in the meantime I can tell that I am going to love this new barn! There are a lot of yellow horses called palominos here and wow!! they are all so gorgeous!
Before I left, some new horsey faces arrived at the HETRA barn. My human friends brought in two new horses for training. Scout and Ivy are their names, and they seemed very nice! My turnout buddy Finn went to live at a new place as well – the home of another one of the riding instructors at HETRA. Finn decided that therapy horse life was a little too slow paced for him, so he will be learning how to trail ride and about the art of Western Dressage.
Because I won’t be up on all the latest happenings at the HETRA barn, I need to turn my blog spot over to another horse. That honor is going to the Horse of The Year (HOTY) – Lady! She will be giving you the barn scoop from her perspective for the next year. Lady is the best – she is so gentle, kind and beautiful. I bet she’ll come up with a cool new name for the blog! I can’t wait to read it.
